Woven Patches

Woven patches are similar to embroidered patches, but offer a higher level of detail than embroidered patches and can give your logo a more refined and sleek look. Woven patches work well on a lot of custom logo apparel such as custom hats and promotional apparel products. Woven patches usually use thinner threads compared to embroidered patches. As a result, woven patches have a smoother surface and are not as thick as embroidered patches. For brands looking to have a modern patch, but with a classic look, woven patches may be the perfect touch.

Similar to embroidered patches, Woven Patches can be made into a simple shape or complex shape. Simple shape patches can have a merrowed edge or satin stitched edge and are usually hand stitch applied to the apparel item. Complex shape patches have only a satin stitch edge and are heat press applied.

Woven patches can be made small or big depending upon the logo, design, and apparel item. Woven patches can also be made as a standalone item to resell or for collectors and hobbyists.

Woven patches similar to embroidered patches can have the two types of edges - a merrowed edge or a satin stitch edge. The merrowed edge, which is most common, wraps around the edge of a patch, while a satin stitch edge is on top of the patch. A merrowed edge can prevent the patch from fraying and this overlaps on the patch’s edge. A satin stitch edge is thinner and does not overlap the patch’s edge.
