Flat embroidery is also known as direct embroidery or custom embroidery. “Flat” embroidery refers to the fact that the logo is stitched onto the surface and is flat or 2D. We also offer 3D embroidery, which is also known as raised embroidery or puff embroidery.
Flat embroidery can work well with your own custom logo or we can use a stock design or stock fonts. Flat embroidery works well with logos that have a medium level of detail and can incorporate several colors. For extremely detailed logos, smaller details, fine lines, or numerous colors, screen printing or heat transfer may be recommended. For hats and caps, the maximum decoration size for embroidery varies by style, but is usually 2 1/8” H x 4 1/2” W.
