Screen printing or silkscreen printing uses a stencil-based technique in which ink is applied to a shirt through a mesh screen. Screen printing is much more commonly used on shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies, but can be done on hats such as foam front trucker hats with a seamless front (5 panel).
More common methods used to produce custom printed hats would be heat transfer hats, sublimated hats, or embroidered hats. Screen printing works better with designs that have fewer colors and screen printing has a limited printing area.
