Silicone transfer is a modern decoration method that offers a higher-end look and can elevate your logo or design to a new level. Silicone offers a durable and lasting decoration. Silicone transfers are heat press applied and have a matte finish. Silicone can range in thickness between 0.5 - 1.0 mm. Bold designs will be thicker than designs with smaller or intricate details. Silicone transfers work best with one or two colors. For headwear, the maximum decoration size is 2 1/4”H x 4 1/2”W and silicone transfers are not recommended for side decoration - only front decoration of the hat or cap.
Silicone transfers have a slightly raised finish as a result of the thickness and in some ways, this can be compared to 3D embroidery or raised embroidery. The logo definitely pops out more and stands out. Silicone transfers work better with simpler, less complex logos, similar to 3D embroidery, but have a sleeker look and finish than embroidery.
